Trump, Pence boost Hawley in Missouri

President Trump will headline another fundraiser for Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley's Senate bid July 24 in Kansas City, according to an invitation posted by the Cass County Republican Party and first reported by McClatchy. Vice President Mike Pence also praised Hawley in a speech on tax cuts Wednesday in the same city.

N.Y. Planned Parenthood nixes Nixon

Planned Parenthood's state-based political arm endorsed New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Sept. 13 Democratic primary against actress Cynthia Nixon. In a statement tweeted by the governor, the PAC's president said the state needs "an experienced leader," given the changes on the Supreme Court.

Bryce, Myers neck-and-neck in Wisconsin-01

The Congressional Leadership Fund released polling Wednesday showing ironworker Randy Bryce and teacher Cathy Myers nearly tied in the Democratic primary in Wisconsin's 1st District, where Speaker Paul Ryan is retiring. Myers leads 34-33 percent. Meanwhile, former Ryan aide Bryan Steil announced that he has raised more than $650,000 in just over two months.
