Grayson to pick House race by May 4

Former Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida reported raising $192,000 in the first quarter for a 2018 comeback bid—though he hasn’t decided in which district he will run. He told Florida Politics that he will announce his choice during Florida’s qualifying period, which runs from April 30 to May 4. He ended March with nearly $695,000 in the bank.

Rosen releases first ad

Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen released her first TV ad in Nevada’s Senate race, highlighting her background as a waitress and a software developer, managing a mostly male team. The ad, which begins airing Tuesday, will run statewide on broadcast and cable television, while 15- and 30-second versions will run online.

Bredesen brings in $3.2M in Q1

In Tennessee’s Senate race, former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen raised more than $3.2 million in the first quarter, including $1.4 million in loans from his personal accounts. Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn took in more than $2 million in the first three months of the year, closing the period with nearly $6 million cash on hand.
