7 Dems Expected in Primary

“All seven Democratic congressional challengers will continue on to the primary in June. Several have already filed their petitions with the New York State Board of Elections in Albany and the remainder are filing on Thursday.” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R) “filed on Monday with over 8,500, according to a campaign release.”

Former St. Lawrence County Legislator Tedra Cobb (D) filed 5,300 signatures; environmental attorney Don Boyajian (D) had over 3,000; businesswoman Katie Wilson (D) had over 2,000; and former Bernie Sanders delegate Patrick Nelson (D) had 1,769. Adirondack North Country Association Deputy Director Emily Martz (D) filed her petitions on Tuesday, but a total of signatures was not available. Oncologist David Mastrianni (D) and former MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan (D) said they will be filing their petitions on Thursday. (Glen Falls Post-Star)
