AL GOV: Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle (R) said he wants to debate Gov. Kay Ivey (R) “in each of Alabama’s seven congressional districts before the” primary. (release)

AZ GOV: The Arizona Education Association endorsed former state associate schools superintendent David Garcia (D) on Wednesday. (release)

CA GOV: State Treasurer John Chiang (D) “filed paperwork to put his name on the ballot for the June primary.” (release)

GA GOV: The RGA launched a digital campaign and radio ad on Wednesday called “Stacey Whoever” highlighting former state Reps. Stacey Abrams (D) and Stacey Evans’s (D) “liberal” support for Hillary Clinton, “big-government programs,” “higher taxes,” and “Obamacare.” (release)

Former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) “will head to metro Atlanta on March 27 to endorse” former Navy SEAL Clay Tippins (R) and headline a fundraiser. “Tickets start at $1,000 a couple; top billing as a chair of the fundraiser will run you $20,000.” (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

“A new 30-second ad by a Georgia PAC supporting former state House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D) casts 2018 as a ripe opportunity to elect the country’s ‘first African American female governor.’ The ad, by PowerPAC Georgia, starts out with a clip of Abrams announcing her candidacy. Text on the screen then reads, ‘History is on the MARCH! Now Is Our Time!’” (Politico)

NE GOV: “To bursts of applause inside a downtown Omaha hotel ballroom Tuesday evening, Vice President Mike Pence encouraged a crowd of 350 to turn out for Gov. Pete Ricketts’ (R) re-election bid this November. ‘Nebraska needs four more years of Gov. Pete Ricketts,’ Pence said, drawing the largest applause of the night at a fundraising event where VIP seats and a photo with the vice president fetched $20,000.” (Lincoln Journal-Star)

Tyler Davis (D) on Wednesday “filed with the Nebraska Supreme Court a Petition for Special Proceeding Regarding Elections asking the Court to review the Secretary of State’s decision to accept” former state Sen. Bob Krist’s “application as a Democratic candidate for Governor.” (KHGI)

NY GOV: Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro (R) in a letter to county party leaders said the “he will run for governor” and “plans to hold a formal campaign announcement in the ‘near future.’” (AP) “Molinaro rolled out endorsements Wednesday from eight Republican county chairs, including Dutchess GOP Chairman Michael McCormack and Suffolk County GOP Chairman John Jay LaValle.” (Auburn Citizen)

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) “on Wednesday appeared to suggest that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) may be behind a potential gubernatorial bid by actress Cynthia Nixon (D). Cuomo: “I think it was probably either the mayor of New York or Vladimir Putin. … I’m going to leave it to you great investigative reporters to follow the facts. … Russian interference? … I’m hoping that Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Billy Joel don’t get into the race. If it’s just about name recognition, that would really be a problem.” (Newsday)

TN GOV: Housing services executive Bill Lee (R) “resigned from the board of the Nashville Business Coalition Wednesday afternoon after he learned the group had endorsed David Briley for [Nashville] Mayor and asked other candidates not to contest their chosen pick in the August special election to select a replacement to serve out the balance of former Mayor Megan Barry’s term.” (Tennessee Star)

Former state cabinet official Randy Boyd’s (R) foundation “will award a $1 million annual donation for building and enhancement of dog parks in communities across the state.” (WATE)

Trump To Halt “War Games” On Korean Peninsula

President Trump announced that the United States will suspend "war games" with South Korea, which are "inappropriate" given his meeting with North Korean leader Kim-Jong Un. "We will be stopping the war games which will save us a tremendous amount of money," said Trump, "unless and until we see the future negotiation is not going along like it should." The military exercises "carried out each year by the US and South Korean militaries have been consistently cited by Pyongyang as a US rehearsal for war, and a reason it needs to build a nuclear arsenal."
