Sununu Opposes Steel, Aluminum Tariffs

His spokesman cited the adverse effect they would have on Canada.

Gov. Chris Sununu (R) is joining the growing number of Republicans voicing their opposition to President Trump’s recently announced tariffs on steel and aluminium.

Benjamin Vihstadt, a spokesman for Sununu, said in a statement: “As the Granite State’s top trading partner, Canada plays an integral role in New Hampshire’s economy. Gov. Sununu does not support imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum.” (WMUR-TV)
