Brown, Buehler Enter 2018 With Record Funds

They have out-raised past gubernatorial candidates.

Gov. Kate Brown (D) is entering 2018 with $2.64 million in cash on hand, while state Rep. Knute Buehler (R) has $1.64 million on hand. Brown brought in $2.78 million in 2017 compared with Buehler’s $2.2 million. “Both candidates got far stronger starts than their predecessors in the 2010 governor’s election, the most expensive in state history.” Nike Chairman Phil Knight gave Buehler his biggest check, for $500,000.
