“State Sen. Steve Montenegro (R) is resigning his seat so he can devote his full attention to his run to replace U.S. Rep. Trent Franks (R),” who “resigned last week amid sexual harassment allegations.” Montenegro joins “several Republicans who have either announced or are considering running in the heavily-GOP district covering the northwest Phoenix suburbs.”(AP)
