State Sen. Scott Wagner (R) launched a TV ad on Thursday that “will air in media markets across Pennsylvania” in which Wagner says his building a waste management “business from the ground up” prepares him to take on “Harrisburg insiders.”

Wagner in the ad: “I’m running for governor to clean up their mess. … I’ve taken out trash before, career politicians are going to be real easy.” (release)

Former health care consultant Paul Mango (R) said “Thursday morning that … Wagner … missed 109 votes between 2015 and 2017 — despite living just a hop, skip and a jump from the state Capitol. … ‘[T]hat’s more votes than any other member of the Senate,’ Mango charged. As a result of that truancy, Mango harrumphed, Wagner should either do his job or not accept his taxpayer-funded salary.” (PennLive)

Gov. Tom Wolf (D) put out a web ad on Tuesday “telling the story of a woman who had an abortion at 21 weeks after learning her child had a lethal disease, which would be banned under SB 3 that is currently moving through the House. Wolf has vowed he will veto SB3 if it makes it to his desk.” (PoliticsPA)
