Border States Electric CEO Tammy Miller (R) will not challenge Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D).

“Earlier this year, I was approached to consider a run for North Dakota’s U.S. Senate seat in 2018,” she said. “After much consideration, I have decided to stay in my position as CEO and fulfill my commitments to the employee-owners and board at Border States. ”

Miller’s decision comes after oilfield consultant company founder Kathy Neset (R) also opted against a bid. (Say Anything Blog)

State Sen. Tom Campbell (R) is already in the race, while Rep. Kevin Cramer (R) continues to publicly mull a bid.
