Lt. Gov. Brian Calley (R) has found himself in a new controversy over a “proposal to amend Michigan’s Constitution to make the Legislature part-time.” Signature Masters, “a firm hired to collect signatures for the ‘Clean Michigan’ petition drive” that Calley promoted “had a company officer convicted of election fraud in 2011.” Shawn Wilmoth, the “chief relations officer of Signature Masters, pleaded guilty in September 2011 to two felony counts of election fraud and was sentenced to two concurrent five-year sentences.” (Detroit Free Press)
