Former Los Angeles City Coun­cil staffer Sara Hernan­dez (D) re­leased her second ad on Fri­day. The 30-second spot casts her as the classroom teach­er who will stand up to the Trump ad­min­is­tra­tion by fight­ing for uni­ver­sal health care, pub­lic school fund­ing, and stop de­port­a­tions. Dav­id Duke, a former Grand Wiz­ard of the Klu Klux Klan mocked labor act­iv­ist Wendy Car­rillo’s new web ad last week in a tweet, writ­ing “Wendy plays the part of a ‘per­son of col­or’ mas­ter­fully, doesn’t she?” Oth­er Twit­ter users tweeted that he in­spired them to donate to her cam­paign to com­bat ra­cism.
