“A joint fundraising committee for” Rep. Jim Renacci (R) “has invited supporters to join” him at Bon Jovi’s “two upcoming concerts in the Buckeye State. An invitation … promises access to a ‘sound check viewing’ before the March 18 show at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. A $2,500 contribution is required. Those who attend March 19 at The Q in Cleveland can have photos taken with frontman Jon Bon Jovi, Renacci spokesman James Slepian said. Guests will watch the concert from private suites.

“Jon Bon Jovi is known for his activism — largely on behalf of Democrats. … The rock star and Renacci have been friends since owning franchises in the now-defunct Arena Football League. Bon Jovi has contributed to Renacci’s campaign and praised him in a 2013 interview with USA Today. Renacci, who once quoted Bon Jovi lyrics in his weekly column, has used the band’s concerts as fundraisers in the past, Slepian said.” (cleveland.com)
