“Greg Goddard, the former Florida finance director at Hillary for America, has been named finance director for” Sen. Bill Nelson (D).

“Goddard served as the Florida finance director for” Rep. Charlie Crist’s (D) “2014 gubernatorial bid. Goddard also served as the deputy finance director for the Florida Democratic Party and spent seven months as the finance director for Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown (D).” In addition, Goddard worked as Nelson’s “North Florida finance director from April 2011 until December 2012.” (Florida Politics)

MONEY MATTERS. The political committee of Gov. Rick Scott (R), a possible challenger to Nelson, “raised more than $2.9 million in 2016. And that sum will likely rise, since the most recent campaign finance data does not include money raised in December.” The committee, called Let’s Get to Work, “spent more than $2.5 million this year, including $227,666 for political consulting and $76,264 on surveys and research.” (SaintPetersBlog)
