Mickelson Again Introduced as 2018 Candidate

He has been preparing a run for governor.

State Rep. Mark Mick­el­son (R) was iden­ti­fied as someone who “will be run­ning for the SD Gov­ernor spot in 2018” on the in­vit­a­tion for his ap­pear­ance at the Brown County Re­pub­lic­ans’ Re­agan Lunch. (Sioux Falls Ar­gus Lead­er)

Mick­el­son and state At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Marty Jackley (R) were sim­il­arly in­tro­duced as can­did­ates for gov­ernor at an­oth­er county Re­pub­lic­an Party’s fun­draiser in April. Neither has de­clared, but both are rais­ing money ahead of likely bids to re­place Gov. Den­nis Daugaard (R) when he is term lim­ited in 2018.
