This is what we look like to the Mar­tians.

NASA’s Curi­os­ity Mars rover has just sent back the first pho­tos of what Earth looks like from the sur­face of the red plan­et. The pic­tures were taken on Janu­ary 31. As NASA notes, the pic­tures have been “pro­cessed to re­move ef­fects of cos­mic rays.”

A hu­man, NASA says, would be able to see the Earth and its moon from Mars’ sur­face as two, bright stars.
