Is Cuccinelli's next job on Virginia's bench?

Virginia Senate Republicans on Tuesday nominated Senate Conservatives Fund President Ken Cuccinelli to fill a vacancy on its Supreme Court, The Washington Post reports. The Republican-controlled state Senate will likely take up consideration Wednesday. Cuccinelli would replace a temporary appointment by Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who narrowly beat then-Attorney General Cuccinelli in the 2013 governor race.

Hillary Clinton to attend Nancy Reagan's funeral

Hillary Clinton will take time from the campaign trail on Friday to attend Nancy Reagan’s funeral at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. First lady Michelle Obama will also attend.

Baker moves toward congressional bid in Florida

Former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker “is doing everything necessary to prepare for a run against” former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist in Florida’s 13th District, according to 10News. Florida’s new congressional map gives Democrats an edge in the open-seat race, but Republicans view Baker as their strongest candidate. On the Democratic side, former Defense Department official Eric Lynn is also running, while retired Marine Corps Reserve Gen. Mark Bircher and lawyer Paul DeCailly are seeking the GOP nod.
