A “confidential investor” memo outlines plans for the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity to spend $125 million on this year’s midterm elections. It’s nearly as much as the parties will likely spend themselves on the midterms. The money will go toward “aggressive ground, air and data operation.” Certainly much of it will be directed at the Senate, where the group has already dropped $35 million hitting Democratic Sens. Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Mark Pryor of Arkansas. A significant part of the effort will also target “non-traditional demographics” for Republicans, such as millennial, Hispanic and low-income voters. (Politico)
