Kochs Launch New Super PAC

Obama headlines first super PAC fundraiser.

Bil­lion­aire broth­ers Charles and Dav­id Koch are un­veil­ing a new su­per PAC that’s ex­pec­ted to spend $15 mil­lion on the 2014 elec­tions. Free­dom Part­ners Ac­tion Fund is dif­fer­ent from oth­er Koch-backed non­profits which fo­cus mostly on ham­mer­ing Demo­crats over big gov­ern­ment. This group will act­ively sup­port can­did­ates who share its “vis­ion of free mar­kets and a free so­ci­ety.” (Politico)

BREAK­ING GROUND: Pres­id­ent Obama is fol­low­ing through on his prom­ise to raise money for su­per PACs back­ing midterm Demo­crats. He’ll head­line a fun­draiser in New York Tues­day for the Sen­ate Ma­jor­ity PAC, his first su­per PAC fun­draiser. (AP)
