The Newark Star-Ledger praised Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R) in an editorial for breaking with his party and voting against the House Republican budget, citing food-stamp cuts.

“He faces a potentially strong challenge in 2016 from state Sen. Jeff Van Drew (D),” the editorial board writes. “… So maybe this is a tactical move on LoBiondo’s part, rather than a heart-felt revolt. But who cares? He’s doing the right thing. It is a travesty that New Jersey’s five other Republicans supported such a shortsighted and cruel budget.” (Newark Star-Ledger)
