Rep. Robert Pittenger’s (R) family’s real estate business “has pulled back from a deal to sell its properties to a Florida company after investors raised questions about the terms of the sale. Pittenger … confirmed Tuesday that the FBI is looking into Pittenger Land Investments but said he was confident that he and the company he once owned have done nothing wrong.”

It’s unclear if the proposed sale of land was related to the FBI investigation. (Winston-Salem Journal)
