Senate landscape on a knife's edge

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters that there are 10 states where the Senate race is "dead even," NBC News reported. “All of them too close to call, and every one of them is like a knife fight in an alley, it's just a brawl in every one of those places,” he said. The states are: Arizona, Nevada, Tennessee, Montana, North Dakota, Missouri, Indiana, West Virginia, and Florida.

Rosen, Heller deadlocked in new poll

A Suffolk University/Reno Gazette-Journal poll released Tuesday found Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen with 42 percent support and Republican Sen Dean Heller with 41 percent. The poll was conducted Sept. 5-10 among 500 likely voters and had a 4.4-point margin of error.

Vets group endorses Brat in Virginia-07

Concerned Veterans for America is endorsing Rep. Dave Brat in Virginia's 7th District, where he faces a competitive challenge. The group, which is linked to the Koch network, will mobilize its field staff and direct-mail campaign on behalf of the Republican, praising his support for the VA Mission Act and the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act.
