Senate Majority PAC is out with a TV ad, backed by a $1.7 million buy, that repeatedly refers to state Attorney General Josh Hawley (R) as “the golden boy” and slams his decision to take “huge contributions from the insurance industry” and use “taxpayer dollars to file a lawsuit stripping away protections for 2.5 million Missourians with pre-existing conditions … like diabetes and cancer”

The ad closes: “He’s selling you out because he’s not for you.” (Hotline reporting)

WESTWARD BOUND. Quinn Delaney, a member of the progressive donor group Democracy Alliance, is hosting a $1,000-per-plate fundraiser luncheon for Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) at her home in Piedmont, California.

“Delaney, who—along with her husband Wayne Jordan—has given millions of dollars to Democratic candidates and liberal groups, is listed as the host for a midday September 21 fundraiser put on by Electing Women Bay Area PAC and authorized by McCaskill's reelection campaign. The group is putting on a second $1,000 fundraiser for McCaskill that evening at an unspecified address in San Francisco, across the bay from Delaney's home.”

Missouri Republican Party spokesman Chris Nuelle: “Missouri needs a senator that actually answers to Missourians, not Democratic donors in San Francisco." (Washington Free Beacon)
