Ad Spending to Break $12M

“Democrats and Republicans already have spent nearly $10 million on ads in this month’s upcoming special congressional election in Pennsylvania—a remarkable sum given that the state’s new congressional map will fundamentally alter this district in November. And they’re expected to spend an additional $2.5 million before the March 13 race.” (NBC News)

HELPING HAND. End Citizens United raised $200,000 “in small-dollar donations, with an average contribution of $8.04, for” for former federal prosecutor Conor Lamb (D) since endorsing him in January. (release)

ON THE AIR. Lamb debuted a 1-minute TV ad touting his commitment to service, which he calls “the rent we pay for living.” In the ad, he talks about his time in the Marines and his brother and sister, who are both teachers. “What’s missing in our society is that same thank you to the people who serve every day in our schools, in our hospitals, on our streets and in our construction sites,” Lamb says in the ad.
