Poll Shows Stapleton Ahead in GOP Primary

Jared Polis unveiled the endorsement of fellow Rep. John Lewis.

State Treasurer Walker Stapleton (R) led the Republican primary in a new Magellan Strategies (R) poll (Feb. 26-27; 647 Republican LVs; +/-3.9%). Stapleton got 26 percent to state Attorney General Cynthia Coffman’s (R) 13 percent. Investment banker Doug Robinson (R) and businessman Victor Mitchell (R) trialed at 8 and 5 percent, respectively. Fifty-seven county commissioners from 33 counties endorsed Stapleton, his campaign announced Monday. (Colorado Politics)
