The Club for Growth released a new TV ad slamming former state Rep. Kenneth Sheets (R) and state Rep. Lance Gooden (R) for their “strong proclivity for raising taxes.” The 30-second spot will run on cable ahead of the March 6 primary to replace retiring Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R).

“In Austin, Gooden repeatedly voted for higher taxes and wanted to make it easier to boost property taxes. And Sheets even voted to tax ‘ya on stuff you buy on the internet,” a narrator says in the ad. (release)
