Rep. Ami Bera (D) “is on track to eke out another narrow victory in his suburban Sacramento district—as long as he continues to oppose Donald Trump and vote against the president’s programs, a new poll suggests. The poll, conducted by the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley, found 48 percent of likely voters in his district were inclined to support his re-election in November, while 44 percent planned to oppose him.

“But the survey (Jan. 11-21; 1,056 LVs; +/- 3.3%) also found that 59 percent of the district’s voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president and that Bera’s opposition to the president’s tax bill and efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, make nearly half the voters even more likely to re-elect him.” (San Francisco Chronicle)
