Local healthcare industry professional Susan Moran Palmer (R) announced she is running for the seat of Rep. Jim Renacci (R), who is running for the Senate.

“The healthcare system in the United States is broken,” she said, “and threatened every day by a Congress willing to sacrifice essential care for millions of families. Now more than ever Americans need an advocate working on their behalf for quality, affordable healthcare. With 30 years of experience in the medical field, I will be that advocate in Congress.” (release)

Palmer joins state Rep. Christina Hagan (R), former NFL player Anthony Gonzalez (R), and Army veteran Kit Seryak (R) in the list of candidates.
