Roske Ends Independent Bid

The filmmaker said he will return to the media business.

Filmmaker Brent Roske (I) “announced Tuesday he has ended his campaign. In a statement, Roske said he was proud to run on issues such as universal health care and clean water, but he also cited the challenges associated with running as an independent. … He said in his statement that he plans to re-enter the media world.”

Roske: “In Iowa politics you can be an Independent until you announce your candidacy, and then people want you to pick a side.” (Des Moines Register)
