Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) “said Tuesday that he doesn’t have plans to re-enter politics with the presumed opening of Sen. Al Franken’s (D) seat.”

“I’m politically retired and if that changes, you’ll be among the first to know,” Pawlenty told CNN anchor Chris Cuomo.

Pawlenty said Franken “did the right thing” in choosing to resign, given the photographic evidence that went along with some of the allegations. (Washington Times)
