Former Yardley Borough council member Valerie Mihalek (R) is the latest Republican to challenge Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R). “Mihalek turned to politics and volunteerism after spending years working for Fortune 500 companies” and “taught elementary education from 1993 to 2002” before being “elected to the Yardley Borough Council in 2003.” She also was a staff member for Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R), who is the brother of the sitting congressman and whom current Rep. Fitzpatrick replaced in 2016. (Bucks County Courier Times)
