Republicans Outraising Democrats in Florida, Massachusetts

Gov. Charlie Baker reported $6.5 million on hand.

FL GOV: Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum’s (D) “raised $78,000 in September. … Gillum has $938,000 cash on hand.” (Tallahassee Democrat) That’s less than his primary opponents raised in the same time.

“The Fund for Florida’s Future, a PAC expected to support” Rep. Ron DeSantis (R), “raised $173,333 during [September] and has $1.6 million in the bank.”

“Republicans raised $2.6 million during September, nearly identical to their August haul. Democrats raised $530,429 in September after collecting $755,573 in August.” (Palm Beach Post)

MA GOV: Gov. Charlie Baker (R) “reported having more than $6.5 million in cash in his campaign account” as of “the beginning of October.”

Former state Budget Chief Jay Gonzalez (D) “had $50,000 in his account as of Oct. 1. Newton Mayor Setti Warren (D) had $36,000. Environmental activist Robert Massie (D) … had just $18,000.”

“The Republican State Committee also has reported having more than $400,000 in its account as of the beginning of October. … The Democratic State Committee has just over $200,000 in its account, about half of what the Republican State Committee has.” (AP)
