President Trump endorsed state Attorney General Bill Schuette (R) over the weekend, tweeting on Sunday: “Attorney General Bill Schuette will be a fantastic Governor for the great State of Michigan. I am bringing back your jobs and Bill will help”

Trump originally endorsed Schuette on Saturday in a now-deleted tweet that spelled his last name “Shuette” and appended an exclamation point.

Schuette responded on Twitter on Sunday: “Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your strong support. Working together, Michigan will start winning again with more jobs, growth & paychecks.” (Hotline reporting)
