DGA gives Northam $2M total in Va.

The Democratic Governors Association gave Virginia gubernatorial nominee Ralph Northam another $1 million last month, spokespeople for Northam and the DGA said Monday. In all, the group has given $2 million to Northam, who will face Republican Ed Gillespie in November to replace term-limited Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Fitzgerald passes on Senate race

GOP State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald will not challenge Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and will instead back state Sen. Leah Vukmir‘s campaign. Fitzgerald called Vukmir “an actual conservative,” a likely jab at Kevin Nicholson, the other declared Republican candidate and a former Democrat.

Walker, Christie help RGA raise $2.1 million

The Republican Governors Association raised $2.1 million at a Monmouth County, New Jersey fundraiser headlined by RGA Chair Scott Walker of Wisconsin, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, the Republican nominee to succeed Christie this year, InsiderNJ reported Monday.
