DNC Invests $1.5M

Top aides and staff are joining Northam and the state Democratic Party.

The DNC “on Tuesday announced an ‘initial $1.5 million investment’ to help Virginia Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam (D) and the state party. … The resources will double the number of field organizers and improve data operations.” (National Journal)

“[DNC Chair Tom] Perez is also sending three of his top political aides, including Chief of Staff Sam Cornale, DNC Political and Organizing Director Amanda Brown Lierman, and DNC political adviser Ramsey Reid, who ran get-out-the-vote operations for the Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 2016.” (NBC)

HEALTHY DEBATE. Northam on Tuesday blasted the Senate’s successful motion to proceed on potential Affordable Care Act repeal as “a shameless prioritization of politics over people that many will pay for with their lives.” (release)

American Bridge released a video of former RNC Chair Ed Gillespie (R) calling for repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act. (release)
