Hopefuls Attend RGA Rhode Island Event

At least eight incumbents and two potential candidates attended the group’s reception.

At least eight Republican governors up for reelection next year attended an RGA event Friday at a Capital Grille blocks from the National Governors Association meeting in Providence, R.I., including Govs. Scott Walker (R) of Wisconsin, Larry Hogan (R) of Maryland, Chris Sununu (R) of New Hampshire, Phil Scott (R) of Vermont, Doug Ducey (R) of Arizona, Kim Reynolds (R) of Iowa, Asa Hutchinson (R) of Arkansas, and Kay Ivey (R) of Alabama.

Cranston Mayor Allan Fung (R) and state Rep. Joe Trillo (R), who are considering bids for governor of Rhode Island, were also there. (Hotline reporting)
