House Majority PAC, America Votes Action Fund, Priorities USA, and American Bridge launched Monday a new campaign aimed a boosting grassroots engagement in the district of 12 GOP incumbents who voted for the American Health Care Act. “The groups will help mobilize communities through on-the-ground grassroots engagement and investments in multi-platform media campaigns.” The push is billed as a “Congressional Accountability Campaign.”

Targeted districts: Reps. Martha McSally (AZ-02), Brian Mast (FL-18), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Bruce Poliquin (ME-02), Jack Bergman (MI-01), Fred Upton (MI-06), Tim Walberg (MI-07), Mike Bishop (MI-08), Dave Trott (MI-11), Paul Ryan (WI-01), Sean Duffy (WI-07) and Mike Gallagher (WI-08). FAMILIAR FOE. “Republicans could hardly contain their excitement after Hillary Clinton said she plans to get involved in the 2018 midterm contests, which Republicans see as a chance to contrast themselves once more with Clinton, the two-time failed Democratic presidential candidate.”

“The GOP campaign arms of the two congressional chambers — the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee — both plan to fundraise off Clinton in the coming days and weeks. … The NRCC said it is set to use Clinton in states like Minnesota, Maine and Ohio against various Democratic candidates.” (Washington Examiner)
