Sen. Orrin Hatch (R) said Wednesday that he may run for reelection 2018. Hatch, who had previously announced he would retire at the end of his term, said “circumstances have greatly changed, so I’ll have to look at it.”

Former presidential candidate Evan McMullin (R) did not rule out a bid in 2018. Of a possible McMullin challenge, Hatch jokingly said, “That’d be his right, but that’d be a big mistake.”

“Utah Republicans rumored to be considering a run for Hatch’s seat include former Gov. Jon Huntsman (R), Attorney General Sean Reyes (R) and state Sen. Deidre Henderson (R).” (Roll Call/Salt Lake Tribune)
