Q Poll: Portman Leads 56-38%

Portman’s final ads features the Republican at an Ohio flag-making company.

A Quinnipiac University poll (Oct. 27 - Nov. 1, 589 LVs, +/-4%) found Sen. Rob Portman (R) at 56% and former Gov. Ted Strickland (D) at 38%. The same poll showed Trump leading Clinton 46-41%. (release)

ENDORSEMENTS. The Toledo Blade endorsed Portman, calling him “a 21st century senator who works across party lines to get things done.” (Toledo Blade)

TV TIME. Portman’s final TV ad features the Republican speaking to the camera from Annin Flagmakers in Coshocton. Portman says “Annin made the flag that was hoisted at Iwo Jima and the one that was planted on the moon,” and today “make eight million flags a year right here in Ohio.” He goes on to say that he’s standing up for workers by fighting “against countries like China when they threaten Ohio jobs.” The ad is backed by $1 million.
