IL GOV: Gov. Bruce Rau­ner (R) ap­pears in a TV ad launched Fri­day for “Fix Illinois,” a Rau­ner-backed ini­ti­at­ive to in­stall term lim­its for state le­gis­lat­ors. The ad “looks like it’s aimed to run in dis­tricts where Re­pub­lic­ans have tar­geted Demo­crat­ic law­makers for de­feat.” (Chica­go Tribune)

State Sen. Dan Wolf (D) “will speak” on Wed­nes­day at 7 p.m. in Well­fleet. “Wolf will talk about … his fu­ture plans and re­flect on his term, les­sons learned, dis­ap­point­ments, hopes and even pre­dic­tions.” Wolf is a pos­sible can­did­ate for gov­ernor in 2018. (Wicked Local)

RI GOV: 2014 RI GOV can­did­ate and Cran­ston May­or Al­lan Fung (R) re­por­ted $107,000 on hand at the end of the second quarter, the highest of any Re­pub­lic­ans in the state. “Fung hasn’t ruled out seek­ing a re­match against Rai­mondo in 2018, though some Re­pub­lic­ans won­der if he’s been too dam­aged by the Tick­et­g­ate af­fair to try again.” (WPRI)
