IL GOV: Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) appears in a TV ad launched Friday for “Fix Illinois,” a Rauner-backed initiative to install term limits for state legislators. The ad “looks like it’s aimed to run in districts where Republicans have targeted Democratic lawmakers for defeat.” (Chicago Tribune)

State Sen. Dan Wolf (D) “will speak” on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Wellfleet. “Wolf will talk about … his future plans and reflect on his term, lessons learned, disappointments, hopes and even predictions.” Wolf is a possible candidate for governor in 2018. (Wicked Local)

MI GOV: State Attorney General Bill Schuette (R) “says Donald Trump’s comments about Hillary Clinton and gun rights supporters are ‘not appropriate.’” (AP)

RI GOV: 2014 RI GOV candidate and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung (R) reported $107,000 on hand at the end of the second quarter, the highest of any Republicans in the state. “Fung hasn’t ruled out seeking a rematch against Raimondo in 2018, though some Republicans wonder if he’s been too damaged by the Ticketgate affair to try again.” (WPRI)
