Former Natural Resources Commissioner Dan Sullivan (R) raised $1.3 million in the first quarter of 2014, totaling nearly $2 million cash on hand. The Q1 haul puts the Club for Growth-backed Republican ahead of incumbent Sen. Mark Begich (D), who raised $1.05 in the same span, and sits with $2.8 million cash on hand. Sullivan’s toughest Republican primary challenger Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell (R) has not yet reported his first quarter numbers. (release)
