Sasse Leads Republicans with $884,000 Raised in First Quarter

Former Mid­land Uni­versity Pres­id­ent Ben Sas­se (R) raised $884,000 in the first quarter of the year, while former state Treas­urer Shane Os­born (R) raised $617,000 and Pin­nacle Bank Chair­man Sid Dinsdale (R) raised $210,000. Sas­se had “more than $1 mil­lion” in cash at the end of the quarter, Os­born had $768,000, and Dinsdale had $98,000. At­tor­ney Bart McLeay has not re­por­ted fun­drais­ing num­bers for the quarter. Sas­se, Os­born, Dinsdale, and McLeay are seek­ing the Re­pub­lic­an nom­in­a­tion in the race to re­place re­tir­ing Sen. Mike Jo­hanns (R).
