NRCC ‘Jumbo-Joint’ Fundraising Committee to Benefit 10 Candidates

Na­tion­al Re­pub­lic­ans have launched a new “jumbo-joint fun­drais­ing com­mit­tee” called “Young Gun Day I 2014” al­low­ing donors to con­trib­ute up to $84,400 in total, be­ne­fit­ing the Na­tion­al Re­pub­lic­an Con­gres­sion­al Com­mit­tee and Re­pub­lic­an House can­did­ates in 10 dis­tricts. “Jumbo joints” were spawned by the U.S. Su­preme Court’s rul­ing in Mc­Cutcheon v. FEC.

The com­mit­tee will be­ne­fit Illinois state Rep. Mike Bost (R-IL 12), Vir­gin­ia state Del. Bar­bara Com­stock (R-VA 10), Chester County, Penn., Com­mis­sion­er Ry­an Cos­tello (R-PA 06), Miami-Dade County, Fla., School Board mem­ber Car­los Cur­belo (R-FL 26), former Rep. Bob Dold (R-IL 10), West Vir­gin­ia state Sen. Evan Jen­kins (R-WV 03), re­tired Air Force pi­lot Martha Mc­Sally (R-AZ 02), busi­ness­man Stew­art Mills (R-MN 08), former Mas­sachu­setts state Sen. Richard Ti­sei (R-MA 06), and Min­nesota state Sen. Tor­rey Westrom (R-MN 07). It could ex­pand to in­clude more can­did­ates in the fu­ture. (Cen­ter for Pub­lic In­teg­rity)
