The Queen and I: Elizabeth II and U.S. Presidents Through the Years

The United Kingdom’s longest reigning monarch has met with almost every major U.S. president during her 63 years on the throne.

Queen Eliza­beth II, of­fi­cially the United King­dom’s longest reign­ing mon­arch, as­cen­ded to the throne at only 25 years old when her fath­er, King George VI, died. Now 89, she has met with al­most every U.S. pres­id­ent since Harry Tru­man. Take a look at the past 11 pres­id­ents (bar­ring one, Lyn­don John­son) who paid their re­spects to the queen.
