And after years of risky, con­sequence-free busi­ness prac­tices, the folks at JP­Mor­gan Chase are fi­nally agree­ing to pay up. They’re fork­ing over $13 bil­lion for mis­lead­ing in­vestors about subprime se­cur­it­ies. It’s the largest cor­por­ate set­tle­ment in his­tory— and the fin­an­cial news me­dia is up in arms.
