The New Jersey governor is still stuck in a political traffic jam, but Chris Christie’s 107-minute apology appears to have earned a favorable rating from the Sunday pundit circuit.

Plus, the new memoir from former defense secretary Robert Gates has allowed Republicans like Florida Senator Marco Rubio to attack Obama’s military acuity. “Duty,” which criticizes the president’s handling of the Afghanistan war, “confirms our worst fears,” according to Rubio — that the administration’s foreign policy is largely “driven by politics.”
