A bal­lot ini­ti­at­ive meant to raise prop­erty taxes to fund the Colum­bus Zoo is dead.

The cam­paign against it, led by the Koch-backed con­ser­vat­ive group Amer­ic­ans for Prosper­ity, proved ef­fect­ive in the polls, de­feat­ing the tax levy by an over­whelm­ing mar­gin. But Steph­en Col­bert wants to be ab­so­lutely pos­it­ive that the Colum­bus Zoo nev­er gets any money again. 

Plus: the U.S. Postal Ser­vice is in debt, and Ikea plans to build a mu­seum in Sweden.
