Pediatric neurosurgeon Monica Wehby (R) is “launching a statewide TV ad on Wednesday highlighting her support for small-business-friendly policies.” It’s her third ad of the general election, produced by FP1 Strategies.

“As a doctor I was taught to do no harm,” Wehby says. “But day after day, I see policies coming from Washington that are hurting Oregon’s small businesses and costing us jobs.”

The campaign has not released the size of the buy, but reported very little cash on hand in its last FEC filings. (Roll Call)

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D) released new ad seeking to tie Wehby to the Koch brothers, who reportedly plan to spend $3.6 million on her behalf.

“The out of state oil billionaire Koch brothers have come to Oregon; spending millions on deceptive attack ads to elect Monica Wehby,” a narrator says. “Because Wehby and the Koch brothers share an agenda that will cost us. An agenda that guts the Clean Air Act, that gives more tax breaks to millionaires, and rewards corporations that ship American jobs overseas.” (release)
