The conservative Heartland Campaign Fund commissioned a poll by Magellan Strategies (IVR) that found Sen. Al Franken (D) just 6 points ahead of businessman Mike McFadden (R), 48-42%. It found Franken’s approval at 21-66%. The release did not include the field dates, margin of error, or sample size. (release)

ON AIR: McFadden released a new TV ad in which he promises to come home after one term if he votes with either party or the president 97% of the time. The ad calls Franken the most partisan Senator in Washington, and says Minnesotans “need a Senator who will work with both parties to end gridlock.” (release)
