DCCC goes on defense in IA-01; House Majority PAC pushes back air time in NJ-03; Kochs spend nearly $1 million each against Brownley, Barrow.

The Con­gres­sion­al Lead­er­ship Fund and Amer­ic­an Ac­tion Net­work will spend an ad­di­tion­al $1.6 mil­lion across four ma­jor House races, run­ning ads against Reps. Ann Kirk­patrick (D-AZ 01), Ron Barber (D-AZ 02), Tim Bish­op (D-NY 01), and Pete Gal­lego (D-TX 23). The groups have spent a total of $16 mil­lion this cycle, in­clud­ing $1.2 mil­lion against Kirk­patrick, $1.8 mil­lion against Barber, $1.5 mil­lion against Bish­op, and $1.6 mil­lion against Gal­lego. DCCC SHIFTS FUNDS TO­WARD IA-01. The Demo­crat­ic Con­gres­sion­al Cam­paign Com­mit­tee is buy­ing $600,000 in air­time back­ing state Rep. Pat Murphy (D-IA 01) in a race Demo­crats ex­pec­ted to be more of a safe bet. Murphy faces busi­ness­man Rod Blum (R) in the race for IA SEN nom­in­ee Rep. Bruce Bra­ley’s (D) seat. (Politico)

HOUSE MA­JOR­ITY PAC PUSHES BACK AIR­TIME IN NJ-03. House Ma­jor­ity PAC delayed a week’s worth of ad­vert­ising sup­port­ing Bur­l­ing­ton County Free­hold­er Aimee Bel­gard (D), split­ting it in half over the last two weeks of the race. Ex­ec­ut­ive Dir­ect­or Ali Lapp “told CQ Roll Call it is un­deter­mined if the group will fol­low through with its Phil­adelphia ad re­ser­va­tion through Elec­tion Day.” (Roll Call)

KOCH GROUP BUYS TIME AGAINST BROWN­LEY, BAR­ROW. Amer­ic­an Fu­ture Fund is spend­ing $830,000 against Rep. Ju­lia Brown­ley (D-CA 26) and $970,000 against Rep. John Bar­row (D-GA 12). (Wash­ing­ton Post)
