American Action Network to Spend $1.8 Million Backing Centrists

Will run ads in 76 districts.

Amer­ic­an Ac­tion Net­work spent $1.8 mil­lion on TV, ra­dio, print, and di­git­al ads in 76 dis­tricts “of mem­bers of Con­gress who voted to bal­ance the budget, pro­tect Medi­care for seni­ors, and re­place Medi­care’s failed Sus­tain­able Growth Rate (SGR) pay­ment sys­tem.”

The group spent $350,000 on four TV ads sup­port­ing eight mem­bers, $75,000 on ra­dio ads for four mem­bers, and $1.1 mil­lion in mail and print ads thank­ing 42 mem­bers, and $250,000 in di­git­al ads thank­ing 66 mem­bers.

The TV ads will sup­port Reps. Di­ane Black (R-TN 06), Mar­sha Black­burn (R-TN 07), Dan Ne­w­house (R-WA 04), Cathy Mc­Mor­ris Rodgers (R-WA 05), Todd Young (R-IN 09), Brett Gu­thrie (R-KY 02), Bill Huiz­enga (R-MI 02), and Fred Up­ton (R-MI 06).

The ra­dio ads will sup­port Up­ton and Reps. Dav­id Valadao (R-CA 21), Rod­ney Dav­is (R-IL 13), and Ren­ee Ellmers (R-NC 02). (re­lease)
